New obsession: Islamic Art
I’ve recently been attracted to Islamic Art for inspiration. Mainly, patterns and calligraphy. Since the religion, Islam, prohibits any use of the figure of Allah (God) or Mohammad (the Messenger), and probably other religious figures, those who worked with art developed a very beautiful style of ornamental art. Usually the designs center around nature, and are highly detailed and symbolic.
